Texas Takes a Firm Stand Against Extremism

Texas has taken a decisive step to protect its people. By blocking the influence of organizations linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and moving to ban entities such as the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR, the Texas government has acted squarely in the interest of public safety and national security. These organizations have long faced allegations of promoting ideological radicalism under the cover of civil rights activism, and Texas has chosen not to ignore those concerns.

For years, it has remained largely uncontested that the propagation of Muslim Brotherhood–inspired ideology carries serious risks. Wherever such ideologies take root, they have been associated with extremism, societal polarization, and communal tension. Texas has made it clear that it will not allow these destabilizing influences to gain institutional legitimacy within its borders.

This moment also underscores a broader and unavoidable reality for the United States. Ideological infiltration cannot be dismissed indefinitely. Several states are already grappling with the consequences of unchecked radical networks operating through social, religious, and political fronts. Delayed responses only deepen vulnerabilities. Decisive action is no longer optional. It is overdue.

The Global Hindu Human Rights Collective (GHHRC) commends Governor Greg Abbott for taking firm and principled action against networks with alleged links to extremist ideologies. Organizations that fuel hatred, radicalization, or violence, regardless of the language they employ or the labels they adopt, must be scrutinized, restricted, and prevented from endangering innocent lives.

This is a matter of protecting democratic societies from extremist ideologies that exploit religious identity to advance division and violence.

When governments act boldly and responsibly against extremism, societies become safer, institutions stronger, and social harmony more resilient. Texas has set an example. One that deserves serious attention nationwide.
